Our final Redesign of Craigslist involves 3 iterations based on paper prototype from our first redesign.
Here is the final Redesign effect using wireframe. https://9nciwj.axshare.com/#p=home
For the first iteration, we focused on the left navigation menu, where we added "Forum" and "Calendar Event" as there are two categories that cannot be neglected directly. However, we removed "job" in this section as there are few "job" information posted on the whole platform compared to other categories or topics. The main rule here is we put categories in an order of its popularity. Below is the comparison effect. In the meantime, we use two different color, yellow for categories like houses, electronics, free stuff and black for "forum, event and communities" to emphasize the difference of two-big-category.

In our second iteration, we decided to change the logo: using "CL" to show respect to its original website
but also add "craigslist" to convey the message of this website more intuitively. Also, we rearrange "Sell your Stuff" right to the long searching box and add saturated color to emphasize this important function. More importantly, some less important or less frequently used information, for example "about, terms, help and opensource" were grouped into the hamburg menu to save space on the homepage. Those changes are illustrated below as figure 3 and figure 4.

Our third iteration involves adding the language selection list to the left menu section. There is no language selection provided, however, giving the world wide usage of craigslist. As mentioned in our course reading material, we should consider thoroughly for our potential users and provide easy access for them. In the very bottom, a footage section were added with some information included in the hamburg menu on the top right. The intuition behind this is that some relatively important information in the hamburg menu is still worth illustrating under the assumption that users will never click the hamburg menu. We listed the items for example "cljobs, help, saftely, and feedback". The iteration changes are provided below as figure 5 and figure 6.
