Redesign Speculations
Posting an ad and browsing for goods are the two most important activities on craigslist performed by users of the website.

The Home page requires a complete redesign. Some changes include,
-
Left side menu should have the different categories found on home page
-
The left menu will allow for a more prominent “Sell” button instead of post to classifieds
-
The current header region needs to be redesigned to have only the search textbox and craigslist icon
-
The favourites and hidden items links should be replaced by a ribbon at the bottom for easier access and viewing experience
-
The view dropdown list should have an empty dropdown list and should be labelled to tell the user that it is an option to change view
-
The search results could filter items based on nearest location of user. This option or filter is available only in list view which should be made available in grid view as well.
-
This grouping by location could avoid having extra-long pages for grid view display of results
